Howard Cantour.com (2012) is a short film directed by actor Shia LaBeouf. It may not be the most visually refined piece of work, but it offers a lot of insights into and searing critique of the psyche of the film critic.

 

This short got LaBeouf in a lot of trouble though. After it had been touring festivals for quite some time, it was discovered that the story was a very literal adaptation of a comic by Daniel Clowes. LaBeouf had not acknowledged this source material in any way. A belated apology didn’t ring very true either.
